A European Voice in America; A Voice from America in Europe

For over 25 years, Jacqueline Grapin has worked to strengthen the transatlantic relationship while fostering integration in the European Union.

Her cooperation with the European Commission, and representatives of 27 European governments involved in The European Institute, which she founded in Washington in 1989, built her reputation as one of the leading figures in US-EU relations. She is also a voice from France in European Affairs.

An economist specialized in defense and security issues, she is an expert in trade and monetary affairs, and promotes cooperation in transportation industries, and the energy/environment sector. A former journalist, she also developed expertise on the evolution of information technologies and media policies in the US, Europe, and France.
